“We are a forest people without a forest.”
-Tau and the Drones of Praise

Croí na Cré is a co-created and heart-centred community of people walking the path of Earth guardianship hand-in-hand.

We come from all corners of Ireland and afar, weaving our gifts and wisdom together to manifest community change through action days, prayer, protests, lobbying, fundraisers and gatherings.

Since our conception in January 2023, a vision was formed and the spirit of the land began to guide us into sacred activism wherever our energy has been needed.

Our core team is held by a wide variety of folk, ranging from scientists and mental health practitioners to storytellers, musicians, forest school leaders and more.
Our wider community is an ever-expanding organism and is the life-blood of how we have been able to do the work we do.

We have found ourselves spearheading campaigns, planting forests,, raising hundreds of thousands of euro for communities and land in need, leading panels and workshops on eclectic but relevant subjects all across Éire (Ireland).

We have found that when we hold space for the wounds of the land, inevitably the wounds of the culture and people come to be balmed also.
As a species, we need nature connection
and wild spaces perhaps now more than ever.

As eco-conscious folk, we are deeply aware of the devastating statistics surrounding Irish biodiversity.

Western-Atlantic oceanic, temperate rainforest once blanketed an astonishing 80% of our lands.
Now, we are 0.4% native rainforest cover and are the lowest ranking in biodiversity levels in Europe according to the EU’s Biodiversity Map.

The impact of empowering individuals and communities to reclaim their sovereignty through acts of positive change in their immediate environments is where we begin.
We cannot have systematic revolution without community revolution, and it all begins in fertile soil.
Together we weave a tapestry of change.
